Tina Chester (soprano) studied music in college, attended and took part in vocal Masterclasses and privately tutored to Diploma level. Although she had sung and performed on stage for much of her life, it was in her mid 30s (when asked by her new singing teacher to imagine performing at La Scala, Milan) that Tina’s classical voice was discovered. She describes her whole life as being one big mix of music and dance; everything from singing in a pop band, folk music nights, serious mixed choirs, ladies choruses, pantomime, plays and many solo successes at music festivals. Tina has enjoyed leading roles in Amateur Operatics and Musical Theatre; has sung at weddings, funerals and corporate functions in the UK and Cyprus; performed many Classical arias with orchestras and small ensembles, solos and duets from many choral works and taught voice in her studio and at stage schools. Tina can often be heard in various concerts and shows in Cyprus where, in 2015 she performed a classical concert with Natalia Lezedova and Doros Zesimos at Technopolis 20, 2016 was a soloist in Evagora of Cyprus a huge production written by Polis Charalambous and performed at Tala Amphitheatre, a Classical concert in October 2017 with Natalia Lezedova (piano) and Klaus Storm (oboe), and again in April 2019, and a Christmas Concert with Ivelina Rousseva for the last two years.
Ivelina Rousseva (piano) was born in Ruse, Bulgaria. At the age of seven she began piano lessons and at ten she was accepted in the music school "Veselin Stogianov" - Ruse. During her studies she participated in many concerts and competitions for solo piano. In 1992, she graduated with honours and was accepted at the National Music Academy "Pancho Vladigerov" in Sofia, Bulgaria, from which she graduated with honours again. Since 1999 she has been living in Paphos, where she teaches piano with very good results and also takes part in various cultural events and concerts for solo piano and chamber music. Her experience in piano education spans more than 20 years.
Zara Jealous (flute) completed her Masters degree at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, graduating with Distinction and the MMus Prize for highest achievement at Masters level. Studying with Anna Noakes, Margaret Campbell and Alan Baker, she was runner-up in the conservatoire’s prestigious Soloist’s Competition performing the Reinecke Concerto, and was a finalist in the Harold Clarke Woodwind Competition. She is a past winner of the Stratford East London Music Festival Concerto Competition, performing the Ibert Concerto. A versatile orchestral musician, Zara performs regularly with the East Anglia Chamber Orchestra, and the Academy of St Mary-le-Bow in London. Other contemporary projects have included performing with Parallax Orchestra in their collaboration with band Bring Me The Horizon at the Royal Albert Hall, works by Steve Reich under the direction of Colin Currie at the Southbank Centre, and for Trinity Laban projects at the Institute of Contemporary Arts. Zara is also a keen chamber musician; she has most recently performed as a duo with harpist Bethan Griffiths, and with her flute quartet, Incanto.
